Work-Based Visas and Green Cards, and Student Visas
Certain immigrants are eligible for temporary non-immigrant visas, and others are eligible for "green card" or lawful permanent residence through a U.S. employer. Our experienced lawyers represent immigrants and their employers on these business visas and employment-based "green cards."

Temporary Non-Immigrant Work Visas: Some immigrants with advanced university degrees and specialized skills may qualify for H-visas, E-visas, L-visas, O-visas, and TN-visas. We represent employees and employers on the highly-specialized and complication applications for those visas.
Employment-Based Green Cards: Some immigrants who possess academic degrees and employment skills that are in need in the U.S. qualify for employment-based green cards. Most work-based green cards require an employer to sponsor the application. As with non-immigrant work-visas, the application process for employment-based visas is complex and, in almost all cases, the immigrant and the employer benefit from attorney representation. We work with you and your employer through every step of this complicated process: understanding job descriptions, determining prevailing wages for particular jobs, labor certification or PERM, advertising the job position, petitioning for a visa through form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, and finally, filing form I-485, Application for Adjustment of Status.
Student Visas: We represent students applying who study at local universities and colleges, language schools, trade schools, and certificate programs or who engage in research or teaching at the university level.
Spouses and children: We represent family members of work-based and student-based visas. Most employment-based and student-based visas allow spouses and children to accompany the principal applicant to the U.S.
